By effectively removing larger particles that could potentially damage the internal components, the strainer acts as a protective barrier. It allows smaller sediments, which pose no harm, to pass through for further filtration by your RODI sediment filter.
The Filter Strainer is designed to keep sediment out of your Booster pump. It comes in three sizes: 1/4" x 1/4", 3/8" x 3/8", 1/2" x 1/2" and is compatible with standard-sized tubing. With a mesh size of 100 (equivalent to 150 microns), it effectively screens out larger particles.
The maximum operating pressure for this strainer is 170psi, making it suitable for use with electrical booster pumps.
